My daughter said this morning that the pastor mentioned in Sunday service that no one knows the time of Christ’s return. THAT IS TRUE.

Jesus did tell us that there will be signs of the times. One major prophecy was fulfilled May 14, 1948. Israel became a nation again drawing the descendants of the twelve tribes back to the nation from many nations.

There is still prophecy to be fulfilled. But we should be aware of the various signs that the Bible and Christ have given us. Christ said

“32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:32-37 King James Version

I will leave it to you to decide for yourself if this is occurring.

One important event to occur before His return is the apostasy. I believe that the apostasy is physical and spiritual.

“2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.”  2 Thessalonians 2:1-6 King James Version

There are many “believers” that have stepped away from the Church, (the body of Christ.) They are choosing to follow their own pursuits and self-interest rather than pursuing Yahweh.

“37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-39 King James Version

There are many “believers” that regularly attend their local church but have no desire to earnestly seek Yahweh and His will for their lives. They go to “worship God” but are truly just entertained and feel good. For them it is a social hour to meet with friends.

Christ told his disciples

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20 King James Version

This can only happen if you follow the command

“33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 King James Version
